I'm a software developer based in Kathmandu, Nepal, mostly working in the backend: Go, distributed systems, the occasional gRPC service that has to hold up under real traffic. I like the parts of engineering that don't show up in a demo: the migration that runs clean, the API that's still easy to reason about a year later.
Over the last few years I've worked across a marketplace platform, a healthcare backend built on a config-driven API system, and an ERP payment integration. Each one taught me something different about how software actually breaks in production versus how it looks on a whiteboard.
Outside of work I build side projects mostly to answer my own "what if" questions, whatever those happen to be that month. I read most nights, usually something technical or a bit of science fiction. I also run. Not fast, not far by serious-runner standards, but consistently enough that it's become the part of the day I think most clearly in.
